Big MatchyGotchy™ Update Coming!

When we started MatchyGotchy™, we thought of it as a way to open up the Matchyverse™ for everyone; introducing Matchy Star™, along with the elements that set up the theme. Almost two months after launching MatchyGotchy™, we have had multiple requests to include more content, and now MatchyGotchy™ is about to become a much more fun game experience soon!
MatchyGotchy™ is on Steam and it’s been heartwarming the reception the game has had, from the great feedback all the way to some of the cutest videos we have ever seen. Highlights would be Brandon Dayton’s little Jeremae discovering MatchyGotchy™ for the first time, then having her very first Let’s Play of the game! Including the always lovely Kitty_Has_Claws who introduced her little one to MatchyGotchy™ giving the Matchyverse™ our youngest streamer ever along with quite the memorable and adorable video review of the game as well. We were pleasantly surprised to find out how our community continues to grow and we have the cutest bunch of little ones to take part on the fun too.
Other great videos we have had are from Polarized Moon, who happened to be one of the fanciest streamers we have ever seen, business suit and all! Along with Jupiter Hadley playing MatchyGotchy™ in her channel. All around, we have had commentaries on all the good and not so much fun – we have read them all, and we have listened. We decided to go back to the design board with all of this and just work on a big update for MatchyGotchy™.
One consistent request has been that we add more to the game. More food, more games and that’s why we decided to include more of everything! More cleaning, medicine options, and entertainment activities to do with your favorite star. We have also taken into consideration commentaries regarding how part of the experience can be improved and we are revising the difficulty curve of some achievements, as well as the pacing of the game. Considering this is a big update, we are working on a chunk of new content for an affordable DLC to complement what we already have – there will be updates found in the main build too, but most of the new content will be part of a DLC.
For example, we know a lot of people are looking for different games besides the guessing game and we are adding several more including ‘Hacky Sack’ which is a skill based game of clicking and timing. Also, including brand new fun things such as an in-game store to customize food and clothing, and ‘Ask the 8 Ball’ mini game to add more fun interactions with your star. There will be new kinds of food with different reactions, new locations including “Matchy Mart” to buy supplies and the “Fitting Room” to customize your pet’s duds.
Including this as a transaction, we can now add the Steam Cards we originally designed! Steam wouldn’t allow cards before because the game was entirely free. Either way, the original MatchyGotchy™ will continue to be free, this DLC is just an optional extra add on for the Matchyverse™ community that wants more from the game 🙂 If you get to play longer than and hour and want more, then there’s more for you to explore one download away.
